History

I first got into webdesign in about December 2002. I was on a Harry Potter message board and someone had a small website of their own and I thought it looked cool, so I decided to try making one of my own. My first website was a very small Harry Potter fansite, entitled "Lizzy's HP Site" (Lizzy's an old alias I used). I didn't have any graphics programs, so I used a funky gradient I got from Microsoft Word as the background. XD

In March 2003, I got Paint Shop Pro 7 for my birthday (ironically, I wanted Adobe Photoshop, but I couldn't find it. Good thing, too, because Photoshop is a lot harder to learn at first, plus PSP is much cheaper. =P). I started experimenting with graphics and most of the ones I made featured Emma Watson. Because I liked Emma and liked making graphics of her, I decided to make an Emma fansite. It was entitled "Rising Star" and opened on April 23, 2003. It did pretty well, but I ended up closing it in May 2006 due to boredom and too much competition between other Emma sites.

Since my Emma site, I've made several fansites inbetween, but I gave up after closing my Yoshizawa Hitomi fansite (although I do intend to expand my fanlisting for her). Fansites are just too much work to maintain, so now I just stick to fanlistings, mini-fansites, and smaller stuff like that.

I got into fanlistings around the same time I opened my Emma site, but I didn't start making them until about... 2004? I don't remember exactly when, unfortunately. The first one I made was for "American Shorthair" cats, but I closed it because no one joined. I didn't start really getting into fanlistings until about December 2005, when I opened my first fanlisting collective.

Not entirely sure of the point in this page, but now you know how I started web/graphic design and fanlistings. =D
